Our Story
Who We Are
“TROPICANA” was founded with a strong ambition to create the best beauty and health products, combined with an 80-year expertise and experience in coconut agriculture passed down through generations from the Tapi basin in Surat Thani Province. We offer various products made from virgin cold-pressed coconut oil that are the result of a manufacturing process that prioritizes quality, the environment, agriculturists, the local community, and our customers. TROPICANA’s brand vision concept of “Growing Together” aspires to expand in a sustainable way with everyone engaged.
The founder's family started a coconut farm in Surat Thani Province's Tapi basin.
To broaden his knowledge, Mr. Suradej Ninek began working for a private company. Mr. Suradej started his own business as a shoe sole production company after resigning, which he exported to a well-known brand in a foreign country.
The Persian Gulf War impacted the economy and put Mr. Suradej's shoe manufacturing business in crisis, leaving the company with a bank debt of roughly 10 million Baht.
With strong passion and a never-give-up mentality, Mr. Suradej decided to return to his roots and learn about the local precious supply: coconut from the Tapi basin area of Surat Thani Province. He initiated the cold- pressed coconut oil production process and modified it until he achieved the method for producing the best quality of "TROPICANA" virgin cold-pressed coconut oil.
TROPICANA has developed over 100 innovative coconut oil-based products that are well-known among consumers. The company exports its goods to 15 different countries throughout the world. TROPICANA never stops working to improve the quality of their products, from the beginning to the conclusion. TROPICANA is now GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, USDA Organic, and many other certifications.
